Wine Tasting Seminar at Gourmet Taipei
Candy's dandy, but liquor's quicker.
Courtesy of Riedel, who sponsored the seminar to show the differences between their varietal-specific glasses. They even had a random cheap-ass glass (seen on the table, in the foreground; note the thick, rounded edge, compared to the thin, cut edge of the Montrachet/Chardonnay crystal stem in the background) for comparison, and what'ya know, there's actually a significant difference in the aroma, or lack thereof, between the nice Riedel crystal and the cheapie Thailand hunk of glass. Here we have a tasty Sauvignon Blanc from Australia.
