Happy New Year!
Considered just going onto the building roof to watch the New Years fireworks at the Taipei 101 but GF, etc. decided it would be most festive to be on the street squeezed in with half of Taipei. Okay with me since I wasn't the one who had to fight the crowds to get on the subway later. Fireworks themselves were cool although the high density of fireworks all coming from 101 made for a lot of smoke. Sony Bravia TVs (now with 1080 Full HD!) sponsored the show again, prominently displayed in the aftermath. Shame that the building only showed the ad and nothing about 101 or Taipei.
